This winter, Bryce Brentz is taking his power show south of the border.
The Red Sox outfielder hit three home runs in his first three at-bats and notched six RBIs through the first six innings in the Naranjeros' 17-4 rout of the Tomateros in the Mexican Pacific League on Thursday night.

The 28-year-old outfielder broke the game open in the first inning with a three-run homer, his second with Hermosillo, to left-center field. He followed up in the third with a solo homer to center. Brentz completed the hat trick in the fifth when he went back to left-center on another solo shot.
Culiacan finally kept Brentz in the park in the sixth, but the 2010 first-round pick still plated a run with a single to left.
Brentz posted an .863 OPS with a career-high 31 homers in 120 games with Pawtucket in 2017 and won the Triple-A Home Run Derby with 38 long balls. His 31 homers were tops among the International League and fourth-most in Triple-A.
The Middle Tennessee State product since Boston chose him in the compensation round in 2010 and has made 716 Minor League appearances in the system. Brentz made his Major League debut on Sept. 17, 2014. Since then, he has hit .287 with one homer and nine RBIs in 34 big league games.
Jose Cardona, who spent most of the season with Double-A Frisco, added to Hermosillo's tally with five hits -- including two doubles -- three runs and two RBIs.
