Braves Starting Pitcher, Rangel, Quiets Tourists
ASHEVILLE- The Rome Braves went to a familiar foe on Friday night. They called upon Alan Rangel to take the mound against the Asheville Tourists. Rangel made his Rome debut on June 10, 2017 at McCormick Field. Tonight was his seventh start in this ballpark and 12th overall against Asheville.

The Braves plated an unearned run in the top of the first inning without recording a hit. They added two more in the second and the 3-0 lead was more than enough for Rangel. Asheville put runners aboard in nearly every inning against the Rome righty; however, Rangel used the strikeout to his advantage. He finished with eight in six innings
Finally, the Tourists received a hit with a runner on base and in came in the bottom of the sixth.
Asheville only had one base runner over the final three frames.
Asheville will attempt to regain the series momentum on Saturday night with the Tourists and the Braves squaring off at 6:05pm.
