Brock Holt to rehab with Portland on Saturday
Portland, Maine - The Boston Red Sox have assigned outfielder/infielder Brock Holt to the Portland Sea Dogs to continue his Major League Rehab Assignment. Holt has been on Boston's 10-day disabled list since April 21st (vertigo), and is scheduled to play in Saturday's doubleheader against the Reading Fightin Phils.

Holt becomes the 45th player to rehab with Portland and the 38th as a Red Sox affiliate, and the second this season (Josh Rutledge on April 24th) . Last season, the Sea Dogs had three players on a MLB Rehab Assignment: Ryan Hanigan, Carson Smith and Brandon Workman
The Fort Worth, Texas native started his rehab assignment with Triple-A Pawtucket on April 28th, going 2-for-9, RBI, walk in 3 games.
The Boston Red Sox acquired Holt from the Pittsburgh Pirates along with Joel Hanrahan for 2B Ivan De Jesus Jr., RHP
Holt is 2-for-15 with the Red Sox this season, appearing in 6 games.
