Buddy Reed an MiLB Player of the Month Recipient
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - Minor League Baseball recently announced Buddy Reed as its Player of the Month for April, representing the Class A-Advanced California League on the list of 11 Minor Leaguers.Reed led the California League in total bases (55), stolen bases (13) and tied for first in hits (34).

Reed led the California League in total bases (55), stolen bases (13) and tied for first in hits (34). The versatile outfielder also ranked second in the league with a .366 batting average and third in the league in home runs (5), slugging percentage (.591) and OPS (.977). The Padres second round selection in the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, Reed's April included a nine-game hitting streak in which he went 23-for-41 (.561) with 10 extra-base hits, 13 RBIs and six straight multi-hit performances on his way to California League Player of the Week honors.
