Lake Elsinore, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino made three errors in the five-run second inning for the Lake Elsinore Storm and were "un-friended" by Storm LF Buddy Reed who tagged two homers and two doubles. Reed, who homered in game one of the series as well, tagged a three-run inside-the-park dinger in second. He ran his RBI total to six with a three-run shot over the wall in right field in the fourth giving him six RBI on the night.
Inland Empire (6-7) got multi-hit games from catcher Julian Leon and shortstop Alberto Triunfel with both players notching a pair of singles; each man was also hit by a pitch. Luis Rengifo drilled a double in the eighth for the Sixers' lone extra-base hit; he later scored IE's only run on a wild pitch by Dauris Valdez. The Storm (5-8) got a tremendous start from Lake Bachar (2-1) who tossed six scoreless innings to with five Ks and four hits allowed. He has not allowed an earned run in 17.0 innings to open the season. Trevor Magill tossed a perfect seventh with three Ks. In all, the Storm trio fanned ten with no walks. Jared Walsh singled for the Sixers running his hit streak to nine games. Jason Alexander (0-1) was charged with loss allowing four earned runs in four innings; he struck out six and walked one.
