Busby's two homers vault Power to 7-3 win

HAGERSTOWN, MD (May 9, 2018) - Two home runs from Dylan Busby and a strong start from Hunter Stratton guided the Power to a 7-3 win over the Hagerstown Suns on Wednesday evening at Historic Municipal Stadium. 
Busby homered in the fourth and eighth innings, with his two-run shot in the fourth traveling 395 feet to left-center field, while his two-run long ball in the eighth sailed into the Power bullpen in right-center field at 367 feet. The Florida State product registered the first multi-home run game of his career and a career-best four RBI on Wednesday. Busby is the second Power player to have a two-homer game this season, as Oneil Cruz collected a pair of bombs on April 13 at Hickory.

Stratton (1-1) was able to wiggle out of several jams to earn his first Low-A victory, holding Hagerstown (10-22) to two runs (one earned) over five innings with four strikeouts. Meanwhile, Drew Fischer, Matt Seelinger and Blake Cederlind combined to allow just one run in their four innings of relief.
After the Suns took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third on a sacrifice fly from Jack Sundberg, Busby launched his first home run against Hagerstown starter Matt DeRosier (0-1) to give West Virginia (18-13) a 2-1 lead in the fourth. The Suns tied things up in the home half of the inning on a sacrifice bunt by Luis Garcia, but the Power went right back to work in the fifth.
Kyle Watson singled to lead off the frame, and Lolo Sanchez laid down a perfect bunt at third. Garcia airmailed the throw towards first, letting Watson and Sanchez each advance an additional base. Cruz then scored Watson on his ground out to second, and, the next batter, Chris Sharpe, stroked a single to left that plated Sanchez. With Sharpe's fifth-inning single, he extended his on-base streak to 18 games, the second-longest active streak in the South Atlantic League (Chris Hess, 19, Charleston).
Following Busby's second homer in the eighth, Calvin Mitchell tacked on an insurance run in the ninth with a run-scoring knock to right.
The Power continue their three-game series against Hagerstown at Historic Municipal Stadium on Thursday evening, with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. LHP Domingo Robles (1-3, 4.00 ERA) will toe the slab for West Virginia, while the Suns send southpaw Jackson Stoeckinger (1-2, 7.50 ERA).
