Cardinals launch free parking shuttle for fans

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- In an effort to combat the increased costs of parking in nearby areas owned by JD Holdings LLC and Plaza Realty & Management Services, the Springfield Cardinals are excited to announce the first-ever FREE Parking Shuttle. Available to all fans at no cost, the Free Parking Shuttle will run during the Final Homestand of the 2019 Regular Season from Monday, August 26 - Monday, September 2.

The shuttle, operated by J. Howard Fisk Limousine, will run from 90 minutes before the listed game time (example - shuttle begins at 5:00 p.m. for a 6:30 p.m. game) until 30 minutes after the end of the game during all remaining home games this season. The shuttle pick-up and drop-off point will be located at Ozarks Technical Community College's most southeastern parking lot, bordered by Chestnut Expressway and National Avenue. The return shuttle will then pick up fans from the Main Gate at Hammons Field.

"When we first heard of the outrageous parking rate increases, we promised fans we would work on finding solutions that are beneficial for them," Springfield Cardinals Vice President / General Manager Dan Reiter said. "For that reason, we are very excited to deliver on our commitment to our community by providing this free shuttle service to help ensure Cardinals games remain budget friendly and affordable for every Cardinals fan. We didn't want to wait until next season to debut this service and hope fans utilize it these last eight home games this season."

A long-time partner of the Springfield Cardinals, Ozarks Technical Community College has been gracious to our fans and our community in providing free parking in their lots during Cardinals games, but please note that the only shuttle pick-up/drop-off point will be in their southeast lot.
