- Ramirez held the Naturals scoreless in the ninth and the tenth, setting up Kirtley and the Cardinals with the chance for the eventual walkoff. Perhaps the biggest moment of the game before Kirtley's walkoff came when Ramirez picked off Naturals DH

- Trailing 6-4 in the eighth, it was Kirtley making things happen again when his sacrifice bunt attempt ended up in left field on a throwing error by Naturals C
- The Cardinals erased a 3-2 deficit in the third on RF

- Carlson had one of his most impressive games at the plate in an already impressive season, finishing the night 3-for-4 with a leadoff home run (11), two RBIs and two runs after being named to the MLB Futures Game roster earlier in the day.
- Ramirez's pickoff of Lee marked the second time a Cardinals pitcher has picked off the speed threat and top prospect this series.
