If you ask the Helena Brewers players, who is most likely to have them laughing the most on the bus, during a game, and in the locker-room; they would all agree it would be Andrew Vernon. The 23 year old RHP from Raleigh, North Carolina was drafted by Milwaukee in 2016 (28th Round) and has had an impressive showing in the minors. He spent a brief period with the Helena Brewers this summer (little over a week), before a few outstanding outings on the mound had him heading immediately back up to Appleton WI (Timber Rattlers Low A for Milwaukee). Working with his former teammates here in Helena we learned of his infectious personality, so we decided to check up on him in Appleton and ask a few questions. Mickayla Spaulding conducted the fun get-to-know-you interview.
MS- "What is your walk out song in Appleton and before games? is there a certain song you jam out to?"
AV- "Walk out song is Dixieland Delight and favorite workout song probably Poundcake by Drake"
MS- "Tell your fans and supporters a funny fact about yourself"
AV- " Well, I can't say no to karaoke, my voice is awful but the passion is there (Laughs)"

MS-" Who was your biggest inspiration in baseball and in life?"
AV- "My biggest inspiration and player in baseball was Roger Clemens, but my biggest inspiration in life was my grandma"
MS- "Favorite part of season?"
AV-"Anytime there is a walk-off, that'll never get old"
MS- "How was getting to come to Helena for the brief time you were here?"
AV-" It was awesome, I had a blast in Helena but it is always fun to come to the TimberRattlers, a little more to do around the town and there is a great baseball atmosphere up here"
MS- "What are you doing when you aren't playing ball?"
AV- "Hanging with the guys, either watching movies or golf… golf game has to get good at some point."
MS- "What's something most people don't know about pitchers?"
AV- "pitchers are just a special breed, were all a little different and weird in our own way, that's why pitchers are the most lovable"
