Buffalo, NY (May 18, 2017) - The Syracuse Chiefs dropped the final game of a four-game series to the Buffalo Bisons, 4-3, Thursday night at Coca-Cola Field. After the Chiefs tied the game in the top of the eighth, Roemon Fields singled home the eventual game-winning run, giving the Bisons a third win in the series in their final at-bat.
Buffalo (21-17) got on the board with two two-out runs against
Syracuse (13-23) would crack the scoreboard in the sixth.
Buffalo nearly added another run in the bottom of the sixth, but Ross got out of a bases-loaded jam to end his strong start. Ross allowed just five hits in six innings in a quality start.

As it was in the first two games of the series, the bottom of the eighth was pivotal again for the Bisons. Christian Lopes walked with one out and moved to second on a bunt. He scored on Fields' second hit of the game, a single up the middle to give the Bisons a 4-3 lead.
Syracuse returns home to open a three-game weekend series with the first-place Lehigh Valley IronPigs Friday night at 6:35 p.m.
