Chiefs drop Saturday night affair, 9-3
Moosic, PA (May 6, 2017) - The Syracuse Chiefs dropped the second game of a three-game series to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, 9-3, Saturday evening at PNC Field. Brian Goodwin and Brandon Snyder each homered for the Chiefs, but Syracuse fell for ninth time in its last 10 games.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (15-12) started the scoring with three runs against
Syracuse (9-16) got on the board in the third. Goodwin hit his second home run of the season, to left-center field off Bryan Mitchell, to trim the score to 3-1.

Ross went five innings for the Chiefs, allowing eight hits and seven runs. Ross walked two and stuck out four, throwing 88 pitches in his first game back in the Syracuse rotation.
