Peoria, IL - The Kane County Cougars overpowered the Peoria Chiefs 8-4 in the second game of a three-game series Saturday night. The Chiefs are now 21-18 overall with the rubber game set for Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

The Cougars used the longball in the top of the sixth to extend their lead against Fagalde. Maciel singled with two outs and Chisholm brought him in on a two-run homer that barely cleared the wall in center field for a 7-0 lead.
The two runs were answered by the Chiefs in the bottom half of the sixth against Cougars starter Brain Shaffer.
Another insurance run came in for Kane County in the top of the eighth. Susnara doubled and with two outs Chisholm singled him home for an 8-2 advantage.
Reliever
Oviedo (1-4) threw 2/3 of an inning allowing four runs on four hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Saylor tossed 2 1/3 innings surrendering one run on three hits with one walk and two strikeouts. Fagalde pitched five innings allowing three runs on seven hits with no walks and two strikeouts.
