The Chiefs got on the board in the bottom of the fourth against Bees starter Luis Madero. Scott Hurst led off with a single and he was retired on a fielder's choice but Irving Lopez advanced to second on a throwing error by shortstop Leonardo Rivas. Elehuris Montero drove in Lopez with a double off the left field wall to give the Chiefs a 1-0 lead. Montero moved up to third on a passed ball and Julio Rodriguez lined a two-out single to left as the advantage increased to 2-0.
Peoria added to the margin in the bottom of the fifth inning. Bryce Denton smacked a leadoff double to the wall in left center and Jose Martinez singled to put runners at the corners. Hurst scored Denton on a sacrifice fly to center as the Chiefs took a 3-0 lead.
Two more insurance runs came across in the bottom of the seventh for the Chiefs against reliever Mayky Perez. Nick Plummer led off with a single to right followed by a Denton walk and ball four was a wild pitch that moved Plummer to third. Denton stole second and Martinez walked to load the bases as Perez was pulled from the game for reliever Michael Santos. Hurst walked to bring in Plummer and Irving Lopez reached on a fielder's choice that scored Denton for a 5-0 advantage.
