Peoria, IL - The Peoria Chiefs walked off in eight innings to take game one over the Burlington Bees and powered their way to a 7-2 win in game two for a double header sweep Tuesday night. The Chiefs improve to 27-24 overall with game three of the series on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
In game one, the Bees got on the board first in the top of the fourth inning against Chiefs starter
Peoria tied the game in the bottom of the sixth on reliever
In extra innings, the Bees came up empty in the top half of the eighth; JR Davis pinch ran as the automatic runner at second. Scott Hurst dragged a single to right center to score Davis just ahead of the tag at home for a 2-1 walk off win.
Fagalde pitched six innings without allowing an earned run on four hits with three walks and nine strikeouts.
The Hurst and Davis combo helped the Chiefs jump out to an early lead in game two of the double header against Bees starter
Peoria added to the margin in the bottom of the second.
