In game one, the Bees got on the board first in the top of the fourth inning against Chiefs starter Alex Fagalde. With two outs, Yariel Gonzalez hit into a force out at second base as Hurst scored to tie the game 1-1.
In extra innings, the Bees came up empty in the top half of the eighth; JR Davis pinch ran as the automatic runner at second. Scott Hurst dragged a single to right center to score Davis just ahead of the tag at home for a 2-1 walk off win.

Hurst led off the bottom of the first with a walk and Davis doubled down the right field line to put two runners in scoring position. Zach Kirtley drove in Hurst on a groundout to put the Chiefs on the board first 1-0.
Peoria added to the margin in the bottom of the second. Julio Rodriguez and Matt Fiedler singled followed by a Nick Plummer walk to load the bases. Jose Martinez hit into a double play as Rodriguez scored for a 2-0 lead. Hurst doubled to left as Fiedler crossed home plate for a 3-0 advantage.
Burlington answered in the top of the third on Chiefs starter Paul Balestrieri. Connor Fitzsimons hit a solo homer over the left field wall to get the Bees on the board, trailing 3-1. With one out, Torii Hunter Jr. tripled and Franklin Torres brought Hunter around on a groundout as the Chiefs lead was trimmed to 3-2.
The Chiefs got the runs back in the bottom of the third inning. Elehuris Montero singled and Gonzalez singled him to third to put runners at the corners with nobody out. Rodriguez doubled to right field scoring Montero and Gonzalez as the lead widened to 5-2. Still with no outs, Fiedler singled to left where the left fielder Barnes committed a fielding error allowing Rodriguez to touch home for a 6-2 advantage.
An insurance run came in the bottom of the sixth against reliever Kida De La Cruz. Montero singled with two outs and Gonzalez drove him in on a double to right field as the Chiefs lead increased to 7-2.
