West Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento River Cats (62-75) completed the series sweep of the Las Vegas 51s (52-86) Thursday night in exciting fashion, answering a late comeback bid by the 51s with an 8-7 walk-off win.

Sacramento was within one out of closing out Las Vegas in the top of the ninth, but a solo home run sent the game into the home half of the frame. Juan Ciriaco made sure it wouldn't go to extra innings however, sending the River Cats faithful home happy by singling in Ryan Lollis for the game-winning run. Tonight marked Sacramento's second sweep of the season, both of which have come in August.
The River Cats will welcome El Paso to town for the final series of the season starting tomorrow night. Right-hander Roberto Gomez (3-9, 4.19) will go for Sacramento in game one while El Paso sends righty Kyle Lloyd (1-4, 7.49) to the mound. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. (PT) and the game can be heard live online at rivercats.com and on the air on ESPN 1320.
