Wichita, KS—Jonatan Clase homered twice but it wasn’t enough as the Arkansas Travelers fell to the Wichita Wind Surge, 4-3 on Sunday afternoon. Clase led off the game with a homer and added another solo shot in the fifth. Kyle Tyler held Wichita without a hit for the first four innings before they scored three times in the fifth inning to get the lead. A ninth inning rally by the Travs produced one run but stranded the tying run on base.
Moments That Mattered
* Without a hit through the first four innings, Wichita unloaded with four consecutive hits to start the bottom of the fifth. Then with one out, Brooks Lee’s two-run single put the Wind Surge on top.
* Riley Unroe singled home pinch-runner Tanner Kirwer in the ninth to cut it to a one-run game but Jordan Brink came out of the Wichita bullpen to retire the next two hitters and end the game.
