Franklyn Kilomé started June the way he wound down May -- with another zero in the run column.
Philadelphia's No. 5 prospect gave up one hit in five scoreless innings and overcame some wildness, but Class A Advanced Clearwater fell to Charlotte, 1-0, in Monday's doubleheader opener at Spectrum Field.

Gameday box score
Kilome has racked up a career-best 15 consecutive scoreless innings over his last three starts. The right-hander threw 13 straight shutout frames in his final two starts last season for Class A Lakewood.
The Dominican Republic native worked around a two-out double by Brandon Lowe in the first inning, then navigated an even tougher situation in the second. With two outs, Kilome walked the bases loaded. Working the count to 2-2, he escaped the jam by getting rehabbing Rays outfielder Peter Bourjos to fly out to right field.
In the third, Kilome walked catcher Wilson Ramos -- also on a rehab assignment -- and Ryan Boldt. He again got out of trouble when Jake Cronenworth bounced into an inning-ending 4-6-3 double play.
The 21-year-old retired the first two batters in the fourth before Angel Moreno fouled off six pitches and worked the count full. The outfielder was fanned on the 11th pitch of the at-bat.
Kilome needed just nine pitches to set down the side in the order in the fifth.
Signed as a international free agent in 2013, the 6-foot-6 hurler posted a 5-8 record with a 3.85 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP in 23 starts for the Blue Claws last year. Through 46 2/3 innings this season, Kilome sports a 3-2 record, a 2.70 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP. He hasn't allowed more than two runs in eight of his 10 outings.

Tyler Gilbert (0-2) came on for Clearwater in the sixth and surrendered Brett Sullivan's pinch-hit RBI single in the seventh.
Brad Boxberger, working his way back from lat and forearm injuries, threw 11 of 14 pitches for strikes while striking out the side in the first for Charlotte. Bourjos went 0-for-4 with a strikeout while Ramos caught three innings and walked once.
Charlotte took the nightcap, 3-2, in 12 innings. Moreno tripled and scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error by second baseman Drew Stankiewicz.
