With his latest dominant start, the 2011 fourth-rounder lowered his ERA to 0.47 with 25 punchouts and five walks in 19 innings across three starts with the Clippers.
Clevinger notched a 5.26 ERA with 50 strikeouts and 29 walks in 53 frames spanning 17 games (10 starts) in three stints with Cleveland last season after making his big league debut May 18. The club gave the Florida native a spot on the World Series roster.
Facing the eventual-champion Cubs, Clevinger allowed three runs on three hits and four walks with two strikeouts in four innings over three appearances on baseball's biggest stage. The 6-foot-4 hurler is expected to be first in line for a trip to Ohio.
