FRISCO, Texas (April 5, 2018) - Despite a dazzling night from Hunter Cole , the Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, dropped their season opener 5-2 Thursday night in front of a Riders Opening Day-record 11,015 fans at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
BIG MOMENTS

  • In his first at-bat of the new season, Cole hit a solo home run to left field to start the bottom of the third. He finished the night 2-3 with a walk.
  • Tulsa countered with five runs in the top of the fourth on back-to-back homers from Errol Robinson and Luke Raley .
  • Riders relievers combined for four scoreless innings, including one frame from Rangers rehabber Tony Barnette .
