- Cole hit a towering, three-run homer to left-center field in the bottom of the sixth, providing the lone Riders runs in the defeat.
- Leading 1-0 through four innings, Corpus Christi opened up a comfortable lead with a five-run fifth inning.
- Rangers outfielder Delino Deshields went 2-for-3 with a run in the second game of his rehab assignment with the Riders. Deshields started in center field and played seven innings.
