In the approach to the 2022 Trash Pandas season, we've teamed up with Prospects 1500 to give fans a preview for which players they might see in the Rocket City.

The Angels system is loaded with pitching prospects and the next one to go over is Coleman Crow.

The Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game starter this past season, Crow really opened eyes in 2021 with the 66ers. Selected in the 28th round of the 2019 Draft, he didn’t pitch after the Draft and with the minor league season canceled in 2020, Crow wasn’t able to make his pro debut until 2021.

He had a 4.19 ERA in 62 innings with 62 strikeouts and 29 walks. From there he went to Arizona as the youngest player in the Fall League and impressed big time with an ERA of 1.59, striking out 20 in 17 innings.

Crow has a fantastic fastball that has a ton of life and movement to it and that gets up to 95mph, a slider that has a ton of spin and has good downward action, and he rounds it out with an improving changeup. Crow will start his season with the Dust Devils and will likely work his way up to the Trash Pandas by mid-season.

The 2022 Trash Pandas campaign gets under way on the road against the Birmingham Barons on April 8th, followed by the home opener at Toyota Field on April 12th against Pensacola. Tickets are still available for opening week, and can be purchased here.
