PORTLAND, ME - The Eastern League is pleased to announce the winners of the Eastern League Player of the Week Award and Eastern League Pitcher of the Week Award for the period of June 11th through June 17th.

PORTLAND, ME - The Eastern League is pleased to announce the winners of the Eastern League Player of the Week Award and Eastern League Pitcher of the Week Award for the period of June 11th through June 17th.

Altoona Curve first baseman Will Craig has been selected as the Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of June 11th-June 17th. The 23-year old hit .522 (12-for-23) with two doubles, five home runs, 12 RBIs, 12 runs scored, four walks, and a 1.261 slugging percentage in six games last week. Craig, who is a native of Johnson City, Tennessee, had at least one hit in all six games he played in last week and had multiple hits in three games. He kicked off his week by homering in three straight games from June 12th-June 14th at Binghamton and closed out the week with home runs in back to back games on Saturday and Sunday against New Hampshire. The 6'3", 212 lb. slugger led all Eastern League hitters in batting average (.522), runs scored (12), RBIs (12), home runs (5), extra-base hits (7), total bases (29), on-base percentage (.607), slugging percentage (1.261), and OPS (1.868) last week. He also ranked among the weekly league leaders in hits (12-tied 2nd) and walks (4-tied 5th). Will, who is rated by MLB.com as the 17th best prospect in the Pittsburgh organization, was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2016 draft after hitting .379 with 16 home runs and 66 RBIs in 55 games during his junior season at Wake Forest.

Will Craig's Batting Line for the 2018 Season

T.J. Zeuch, a right-handed starting pitcher for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, has been selected as the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the period of June 11th-June 17th. The 6'7", 225 lb. hurler started one game for the Fisher Cats last week and had a record of 1-0 with four strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA. Zeuch, who is a native of Mason, Ohio, made his lone start of the week on Thursday night at Akron and fired eight shutout innings in New Hampshire's 3-0 victory. He gave up just two hits and one walk while striking out four batters over eight innings, which is the longest outing of Zeuch's professional career. With his performance last week T.J. improved his record to 5-2 and lowered his ERA to 2.81 in eight starts for the Fisher Cats this season. The 22-year old ranked first among all Eastern League pitchers in WHIP (0.38) and batting average against (.080) last week and tied for first in ERA (0.00). He also ranked among the weekly league leaders in wins (1-tied 4th). T.J., who is rated by MLB.com as the ninth best prospect in the Toronto organization, was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays with the 21st overall pick in the first round of the 2016 draft after going 6-1 with 74 strikeouts and a 3.10 ERA in 10 starts during his junior season at the University of Pittsburgh.
