North Little Rock, AR-Joey Curletta bashed two homers and drove in four runs to lead the Arkansas Travelers to their seventh straight win over the Springfield Cardinals by a 10-4 final on Thursday night. Curletta has hit five homeruns over the past three games with a pair of multi-homer contests

North Little Rock, AR-Joey Curletta bashed two homers and drove in four runs to lead the Arkansas Travelers to their seventh straight win over the Springfield Cardinals by a 10-4 final on Thursday night. Curletta has hit five homeruns over the past three games with a pair of multi-homer contests and now leads the Texas League in homers and runs batted in. His second homerun of the night put the Travs on top for good in the bottom of the fifth inning and he just missed homers in his final two plate appearances of the night. Williams Pérez earned the win in his return to Arkansas after making his most recent four starts with Triple-A Tacoma. Logan Taylor matched a career-best with a four hit night as part of a 14-hit attack.
Moments That Mattered
* Tied in the fifth inning, Curletta launched his second homer of the game, a towering two-run shot to left-center field putting the Travs on top for good. His first homer put the Travs on top 1-0 in the second and was a no doubt blast to left field.
* Springfield threatened in the sixth inning with two on but Spencer Herrmann came out of the bullpen to get a strikeout and end the threat.
* Arkansas got full control of the game by scoring four times in the bottom of the sixth inning on two hits, a hit batter, four walks and a sacrifice fly.
