ZEBULON, N.C. - Tucker Neuhaus hit a three-run home run in the third and Trey Supak struck out six over five scoreless innings, but the Dash rallied for six runs in the seventh off relievers Daniel Brown and Alec Kenilvort while defeating the Mudcats 6-3 in front of a crowd of 5,086 on Friday night at Five County Stadium.

Dash (1-1) starter Bernardo Flores allowed Neuhaus' home run in the third, but ended up with the victory after working through the sixth with three runs (two earned) allowed on six hits. Flores (1-0, 3.00) also walked one and struck out four in the series tying victory for Winston-Salem.
Neuhaus went 3-for-4 with Carolina's first home run of the 2018 campaign and three RBI on Friday night. Luis Aviles Jr. Jr. and Ronnie Gideon both doubled while going 1-for-4 and Clint Coulter crushed a triple to center in the eighth while going 1-for-4 as well. Keston Hiura tallied his first Carolina League hit in the seventh and was 1-for-5 in the game for the Mudcats (1-1).
Supak worked through the fifth in his scoreless outing and finished with six strikeouts against four walks and just two hits allowed. Three of his four walks came in the fifth, but he worked out of the jam by retiring the side via strikeout while working through his scoreless start.
Carolina's starter left with a 3-0 lead after the fifth, but after tossing a scoreless sixth, Brown (0-1, 20.25) was later charged with four runs allowed in the seventh while seeing the lead slip away. He started the seventh by walking Zach Remillard and then saw Joel Booker reach on a bunt hit to first. Luis Alexander Basabe then reached on error at third by Dallas Carroll and with the bases loaded Blake Rutherford plated the first Dash run by hitting into a force out. Gavin Sheets then doubled in a run (on a misplayed flyball to center), cutting the Carolina lead to 3-2 and knocking Brown out of the game. Kenilvort immediately followed Brown and gave up a two-run double to Micker Adolfo and a two-run home run to Yeyson Yrrizarri.
Brown walked two and allowed four runs (three earned) on three hits while suffering the loss. Kenilvort was charged with a blown save and gave up two runs on three hits over an inning and 2/3. Chase Williams later worked the ninth and was able to get through a scoreless frame with one hit allowed and one strikeout.
Adolfo went 3-for-4 with a run and two RBI for the Dash. Yrrizarri was 1-for-5 with a home run and Sheets went 2-for-5 with a run and a RBI.
Relievers Mike Morrison, Matt Foster and José Ruiz kept the Mudcats scoreless after Flores left the game. Each Dash reliever tossed a scoreless frame and combined on four strikeouts over the final three innings of the Dash victory. Ruiz (S, 1) pitched the ninth and struck out two while earning the save.
The four game series is now tied at 1-1 and will continue on Saturday night with LHP Nathan Kirby starting for the Mudcats and RHP Dylan Cease starting for the Dash. The first pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Five County Stadium in Zebulon.
