SALEM, Va. (May 8, 2018) - The Dash offense collected a season-high 19 hits to lead Winston-Salem to a 10-2 win over the Red Sox at Haley Toyota Field on Tuesday night.
It is the fourth straight win for Winston-Salem (19-13), and the seventh win in the last eight games. The Dash also clinch a series win over Salem (17-15).

Ti'Quan Forbes and Yeyson Yrizarri each tied career-high with four hits and Gavin Sheets went 3-for-5 with two doubles. Alex Call went 2-for-6 and tied a career-high with four RBIs. Zach Remillard and Blake Rutherford also notched multi-hit games.
The offensive onslaught reached its peak in the ninth inning. Leading 4-2, Winston-Salem sent 10 men to the plate and scored six runs on six hits, including four doubles, to put the game out of reach. The Dash smacked six doubles in the game to bring their league-leading total to 81.
The Dash started the barrage in the top of the second inning. After Yrizarri doubled with one out off of Red Sox starter Roniel Raudes (2-3), Forbes drove him in with an RBI single. Then, after Forbes stole second and Joel Booker walked, Call singled to bring in two more and give Winston-Salem a 3-0 lead.
Dash starter Jimmy Lambert (3-2) cruised through his six innings of work. The right-hander allowed just one run on three hits while striking out seven and walking one. His lone blemish came in the fifth inning, when he gave up a solo home run to Ryan Scott, trimming the Dash lead to 3-1.
Sheets got the run back in the seventh, when he doubled with two outs to bring Micker Adolfo around to score from first. Adolfo drew a career-high three walks in the game and scored twice.
Then, in the ninth, Winston-Salem tacked on six more. After Adolfo walked with one out, Sheets lined his second double of the night down the left-field line, plating Adolfo. Yermin Mercedes followed with a double of his own to drive in Sheets. Next, Yeyson Yrizarri singled to collect his fourth hit of the night, putting runners on the corners with one out. Two batters later, Forbes hit a slow roller up the third base line that resulted in an infield single, bringing in Mercedes.
The inning continued with Booker, who doubled to right-center field to plate Yrizarri and Forbes and give the Dash a seven run lead. Call finished off the inning with an RBI double off the left field fence to score Booker and make it 10-2.
