Dash Pull Away Late; Tourists Fall 13-6
ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists saw Friday night’s game get away from them late. Asheville led the Winston-Salem Dash 6-4 entering the seventh inning. The Dash scored nine runs over the final three innings and defeated the Tourists by a final score of 13-6.

Asheville jumped out to a 2-0 lead with back-to-back two-out doubles in the bottom of the first inning by Zach Dezenzo and Ryan Wrobleski. The lead was short lived. Winston-Salem used an RBI single and a three-run Homer in the second to take a 4-2 lead.
Tim Borden II led off the bottom of the second with a solo Home Run to left field. A couple of innings later, Wrobleski blasted a three-run Homer to center and Asheville held a two-run advantage once again.
In the seventh, Winston-Salem clubbed another three-run Home Run to go on top 7-6. The Dash added four more in the eighth and capped the scoring with two runs in the ninth. Asheville committed a pair of errors down the stretch that were both costly. The Tourists pitching staff also surrendered ten walks on the evening.
Dezenzo finished 3-for-5 and extended his hitting streak to seven games along with Borden II. Wrobleski, Collin Price, and Miguel Palma all finished with two hits on the night.
Asheville’s Ronny Garcia pitched the top of the fifth in his McCormick Field debut. Garcia faced the heart of the Dash order and struck out the side on 12 pitches.
