Dash Quiet the Tourists Offense in 3-0 Shutout
WINSTON-SALEM- The Asheville Tourists were shut out by the Winston-Salem Dash on Friday night, 3-0. It is the second time the Tourists have been shutout this season; however, Asheville still possesses the South Atlantic League’s second ranked offensive unit.

The Dash scored two runs in the first inning on a D.J. Gladney Home Run. Their final run came in the form of a Sac Fly in the bottom of the fourth. Manuel Urias started and pitched 4.2 innings for the Tourists. Urias struck out five and walked only one.
Asheville’s Jose Guedez pitched the final three innings and did not allow any damage. Guedez struck out six and lowered his season ERA to 3.00. Offensively, the Tourists netted just two hits; a single from Jeron Williams and a single from Ryan Johnson. Tyler Whitaker reached base twice and Cam Fisher also reached with a walk.
The Tourists can still salvage a series split in Winston-Salem by winning on Saturday and Sunday. Game Five of the series is slated to begin at 7:00pm ET.
