The Javelinas again broke out the bats and posted double-digit runs to improve to 5-2 on the season. Peoria put up a four-spot in the first frame after a bases-loaded walk by Robert Perez Jr. (Mariners), a sacrifice fly from Angel Martinez (Guardians) and a two-run single by Drew Millas (Nationals), who finished with three hits and four RBIs. Perez Jr. added an RBI double in the next frame, and Martinez ripped a two-run single to pad the Javelinas’ lead in the top of the ninth. Behind multihit efforts from Zack Gelof (A's), Jasson Domínguez (Yankees) and T.J. Rumfield (Yankees), Mesa came within a run of tying up the score after being down by six, but the comeback ultimately fell short.
