KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Justin Dean launched his first professional homerun and the D-Braves first longball in nine days on Tuesday night's 3-1 loss in Kingsport at Hunter Wright Stadium.

Danville's (16-16) only run came off the bat of Dean in the top of the sixth inning, who hit 11 big flies in his career at Lenior-Rhyne, including six in his junior campaign.
Amidst the rain and lightning intensifying, the Mets scored three in the bottom half of the sixth to secure their victory.
The D-Braves starter, Jose Montilla, opened the inning allowing back-to-back singles. The Neyba, Dominican Republic native induced a lineout double play. With two outs and a runner at first, Montilla hit the K-Mets' Gavin Garay, and then surrendered a three-run homerun to Mark Vientos.
Jose Montilla up to that point had only given up one hit through five scoreless innings only allowing three baserunners all evening. In his final line, he pitched six innings, giving up three earned runs and five hits with two strikeouts and a walk.
Danville looks to bounce back in game No. 2 on Wednesday back at Kingsport. First pitch is at 6:30 p.m.
