RENO, Nev. - Deyvison De Los Santos, a testament to dedication and hard work, began his baseball journey at the tender age of 16, signing with the Diamondbacks in the Dominican Republic. This marked the start of his relentless pursuit of making it to the big leagues.

With his 21st birthday right around the corner, he stands on the cusp of realizing that dream.

MLB Pipeline's No. 14 Top Prospect within the Arizona Diamondbacks organization has done nothing but hit throughout his career. He burst onto the scene in 2021, and the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native won the batting title in the Arizona Complex League.

The following year, in 2022, De Los Santos's game continued to elevate as the teenage infielder played in three levels of pro ball. In Low-A, High-A, and Double-A, he hit for a .306 batting average with 22 home runs in just 126 games. He also collected 106 RBI in the minors this year.

Consistency with the bat is what separates De Los Santos as a prospect. He has proven that he can be moved around the country and find success against a wide range of talent as a professional hitter.

De Los Santos started his professional career hitting for a .329 batting average at 18 years old. Now, as a 20-year-old, De Los Santos has slugged his way onto the Reno Aces' roster.

He began the 2024 season in Double-A Amarillo and, through his offensive excellence, forced his promotion to Triple-A Reno. Through 38 games, De Los Santos hit for a .372 batting average and a 1.122 OPS with 14 home runs. His ability to drive in runs was on full display, as he averaged almost one RBI per game with 37 total.

On May 21, 2024, De Los Santos played his first game with Reno, joining the team as they played in Oklahoma City. He recorded his first Triple-A hit and was about five feet short of hitting a home run in his first game.

Aces and Diamondbacks fans have every reason to be hopeful about De Los Santos and the impact he can make. His power-hitting ability and status as a third baseman have drawn comparisons to the renowned MLB slugger Miguel Sano, as noted in Baseball America's 2023 Prospect Handbook.

De Los Santos's highly anticipated home debut is set for Tuesday, May 28, when the Aces host the Salt Lake Bees. Aces fans will undoubtedly be buzzing with excitement, eager to witness the kind of season De Los Santos has in store.
