The Hooks – playing as the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits – turned four double plays behind. Twice they came with runners on first and second, including in the eighth against DeJuneas while the team held a 1-0 lead.

Endersby (W, 2-0) continued to impress in his second Double-A start, going 5.0 innings with two hits allowed; he survived the outing despite surrendering five walks. DeJuneas was stout over 3.0 frames.
