Portland, Maine- The Trenton Thunder (32-16) struck for four runs in the sixth inning and defeated the Sea Dogs (21-23) 6-2 in front of a sellout crowd of 7,368 on Sunday afternoon at Hadlock Field.

Trenton has won the first three games of the series with Portland and has won seven in a row overall.
The Sea Dogs plated the game's first run in the third inning when Rafael Devers beat out a potential double play to allow Jake DePew to score with two outs. The run was unearned because of an error committed by Mike Ford earlier in the inning.
That would be the lone run allowed by Thunder starter Justus Sheffield (W, 4-2). The southpaw went 6.2 innings and allowed just three hits while walking one and fanning six.
Trenton tied the game off of Teddy Stankiewicz (L 2-2) in the fifth inning. Jorge Saez singled and advanced to second on an error by Cole Sturgeon, then advanced to third on a wild pitch. Abiatal Avelino lined a single into left to even the score 1-1.
The Thunder took the lead with fourth straight base hits off of Stankiewicz to begin the sixth. Miguel Andújar put Trenton ahead with an RBI single to score Billy McKinney. Zack Zehner doubled in a run, Rashad Crawford hit a sac fly, and Billy Fleming delivered an RBI single.
Stankiewicz allowed five runs (four earned) on nine hits in 5.2 innings. He walked one and struck out three.
Andujar extended the Thunder lead to 6-1 with a homer off of Williams Jerez in the seventh.
Rafael Devers homered off of J.P Feyereisen over the Sea Dogs' bullpen in the eighth. Devers leads the team with eight home runs and 26 RBIs.
The series concludes tomorrow afternoon at Hadlock Field with a 1:00 PM first pitch. RHP Travis Lakins (0-2, 15.00) is scheduled to start for Portland against RHP Ronald Herrera (5-0, 1.47) for Trenton. Pregame coverage begins on the WPEI US Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network at 12:45 PM.
