Diablos Rojos: Trevor Bauer los lleva a ganar la fiesta de Star Wars

Ciudad de México (Miguel Boada) 4 de mayo de 2024.- Con un Trevor Bauer lanzando 6.0 entradas de dos carreras y una ofensiva que anotó 10 carreras en las últimos tres entradas, los Diablos Rojos del México (15-5) vencieron 12-2 a los Guerreros de Oaxaca (9-11) en el segundo juego de la serie en el Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú.
Con una asistencia de 19 mil 989 aficionados, la ‘Pandilla Escarlata’ celebró el ‘May The 4th” como parte de la ‘Serie Star Wars’, y lo hizo convirtiéndose en el primer equipo de la LMB en llegar a 15 victorias, en una jornada en la que a la par del trabajo de Bauer, Julián Ornelas, Juan Carlos Gamboa y Robinson Canó brillaron a la ofensiva.
El lanzador derecho comenzó el juego ponchando a los primeros cinco bateadores que enfrentó y colgó cero en la pizarra hasta la quinta entrada. Fue con dos outs en la alta del sexto rollo que se detuvo la racha de ceros consecutivos de Bauer, dejando su seguidilla en 19.2 innings en blanco.
Aunque con las dos anotaciones que permitió Bauer en la sexta los Guerreros empataron, vino un cierre explosivo de los Diablos en el que anotaron tres veces en la sexta, tres en la séptima y cuatro en la octava para concretar la ventaja de final de 12-2. Julián Ornelas se voló la barda en la séptima con uno a bordo y Robinson Canó hizo lo propio en la octava tanda.
Ornelas cerró la jornada yéndose de 4-2 con tres empujadas y dos anotadas, Canó se fue de 2-2 con un par de empujadas, tres pasaportes y una anotación, mientras que Juan Carlos Gamboa produjo tres y anotó en una ocasión.
Después de Bauer, quien fue relevado después de enfrentar un bateador en la séptima entrada, vinieron al relevo tres relevistas: Tomohiro Anraku (una entrada en blanco), Jeurys Familia (una tanda limpia) y Edwin Fierro (un inning sin daño). El pitcher ganador fue Trevor Bauer (3-0, 1.96), mientras el derrotado fue Bernardo Flores (0-1, 8.10).

Los Diablos Rojos del México anuncian que el lanzador estadunidense, Trevor Bauer, se mantendrá con el equipo un mes más, luego de llegar a un acuerdo con el pitcher para que tenga tres aperturas extras a las cinco que ya tenía programadas.
Con lo anterior, Trevor Bauer continuará lanzando con la ‘Pandilla Escarlata’ durante el mes de mayo, teniendo agendadas dos apariciones en el Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú y dos en gira (Yucatán y León).
