Dodgers Roll Over Omaha, 7-1

Papillion, Neb. - The Oklahoma City Dodgers scored seven runs between the second and fourth innings, and starting pitcher Manny Bañuelos turned in six scoreless innings to lead the Dodgers to a 7-1 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers Thursday night at Werner Park.
The Dodgers (42-26) got some early breathing room with a four-run rally in the second inning. Edwin Ríos led off the frame with a solo home run to right-center field for his fourth homer of the season.
Later in the inning, the Dodgers loaded the bases with one out, and
OKC had none on with two outs in the third inning before the bottom of the order rallied for a run.
The lower third of the lineup had a strong night, with Peter, Gale and Mora combining to go 5-for-9 with five runs. Gale paced the Dodgers with three hits, and he is now 11-for-24 during his current six-game hitting streak.
It was more than enough run support for Bañuelos (8-3), who pitched six scoreless innings for a second consecutive start. The lefty gave up five hits, with two walks and nine strikeouts, becoming the second pitcher in the PCL with at least eight wins this season.
The Storm Chasers (33-38) threatened a couple of times against Bañuelos, but he held Omaha 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Down, 7-0, in the fifth inning, Omaha had runners at second and third base with one out and then loaded the bases with two outs.
