Don Beaver, owner of the Charlotte Knights, will be inducted into the Charlotte Baseball Round Table of Honor on Sunday, May 28th at BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte. Beaver will be the first member into the 2017 Charlotte Baseball Round Table of Honor class and its fourth overall inductee. The 2016 inaugural class featured three inductees: Charlie Manuel, Jim Thome, and Frances Crockett.
The Charlotte Baseball Hall of Fame inducted members from 1982 to 1987. Last season, the Knights revived and renamed the distinguished club during the 2016 Sonic Automotive Triple-A Baseball All-Star Game, which took place at BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte.
On Sunday, May 28th, Beaver will be celebrated on the field at BB&T Ballpark. He will be inducted during a pre-game ceremony led by Knights Chief Operating Officer Dan Rajkowski and will then throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the 7:05 p.m. game.
