Dorados: Adquieren al venezolano Félix Doubront

(Prensa Dorados) 9 de febrero de 2024.– Dorados de Chihuahua continúa añadiendo piezas a su staff de lanzadores para afrontar el regreso a la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol (LMB) en la víspera de la campaña 2024, tras obtener al ex pelotero de Grandes Ligas, Félix Doubront, además de adquirir los derechos del lanzador diestro Sasagi Sánchez.
Doubront nacido en Puerto Bello, Venezuela, militó en las Ligas Mayores con Medias Rojas de Boston Atléticos de Oakland, Azulejos de Toronto y Cachorros de Chicago.
En 2013 consiguió el anillo en la Serie Mundial con Medias Rojas, adjudicándose incluso la victoria en el Juego 4 ante Cardenales de San Luis.
Después de su paso en la Gran Garpa, Félix Doubront lanzó para los Gigantes Lotte en Corea y Leones Uni-President en China, así como las Navegantes de Magallanes y Bravos de Margarita en la Liga Venezolana, mientras que en México formó parte de Pericos de Puebla, Saraperos de Saltillo y Leones de Yucatán, a su vez en Liga Mexicana del Pacifico vistió la franela de los Mayos de Navojoa.
Fue precisamente Leones de Yucatán el equipo que cedió los derechos del abridor zurdo, que durante la campaña 2023 registró marca de 4-0 y 2.23 de efectividad en 7 aperturas, trabajando por espacio de 36.1 entradas, recetando 38 ponches, otorgando sólo 9 bases por bolas.
El serpentinero se unirá a la novena a cargo del manager Óscar Robles que además añadió al lanzador diestro Sasagi Sánchez de los Diablos Rojos del México.
Sasagi Sánchez comenzó su carrera en LMB con Acereros de Monclova en 2014, para después militar con Pericos de Puebla y Olmecas de Tabasco, mientras que en 2019 fue canjeado a Diablos Rojos.
En Liga Mexicana del Pacífico brilló con Tomateros de Culiacán al conseguir tres campeonatos, siendo el líder en holds del equipo en 2019, a su vez, en la temporada 2020 registró su efectivad más baja de su trayectoria con 0.95 en carreras limpias, mientras que en 2021 fue el relevista con más ponches y en 2022 logró 5 salvamentos y 1.73 de efectividad.
Asimismo, Sánchez formó parte del combinado azteca en los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020, además de representar a la selección mexicana en diversas justas a lo largo de su carrera.
El club Diablos Rojos del México cedió de manera definitiva los derechos del serpentinero mexicano a Dorados de Chihuahua, así como del nacido en Navojoa, Sonora, Alejandro Federico González Soto mismo que se desempeña como jardinero. Del mismo modo, Leones de Yucatán cedió de manera definitiva al zurdo venezolano Félix Doubront a los Dorados.
El cuadro del estado grande será parte de la Zona Norte y comenzará fase regular el 12 de abril en condición de visitante ante Algodoneros de Unión Laguna.
La primera serie de local está programada del 16 al 18 de abril en contra de Rieleros de Aguascalientes en el Estadio Monumental.
