Tulsa, OK-The Tulsa Drillers took the opener of a four game series from the Arkansas Travelers, 8-2, on Thursday night. The Travs lead over the Drillers in the division race is now 2.5 games. Tulsa banged out 15 hits and scored in six of eight innings. Travs' starter Ricardo Sánchez lasted only four innings for the third straight start and was tagged with the loss giving up four runs. Former Trav Justin De Fratus was the winner for Tulsa, working six innings of two-run ball.
Moments That Mattered
* Aaron Knapp homered for the second straight game and pulled the Travs even with a solo shot in the third inning.
* After Evan White started a spectacular double play that cut off a run in the bottom of the third, Cody Thomas delivered a two-out RBI hit to put Tulsa in front for good.
