Tulsa, OK—Emerson Hancock set career highs in innings pitched and strikeouts but the Tulsa Drillers took down the Arkansas Travelers, 4-2 on Thursday night. Tulsa scored three times with two outs in the opening inning and then Hancock would go on to retire 19 of the final 20 batters he faced while striking out nine in seven innings, both career highs. Bobby Miller of the Drillers also had an outstanding start putting down the first 13 Travelers of the game and went on to strike out a career best 11 over six frames.
Moments That Mattered
* Tulsa scored twice on a Brandon Lewis homer in the first. They added on after a two out walk by Devin Mann when he raced home on a double by Leonel Valera.
* Riley Unroe got the Travs back in the game with a two-run home run in the fifth inning immediately following a double by Kaden Polcovich.
