RHP Justin Dillon (W, 5-2) fired six innings on five hits and two unearned runs to earn the win for New Hampshire. The Fisher Cats bullpen received three scoreless frames on just one hit, as RHP Brad Wilson earned a hold with two innings of work on three strikeouts. RHP Dany Jimenez threw all seven pitches for strikes in the ninth to earn his fifth save.
The Sea Dogs jumped on the board in the first inning, scoring twice off Dillon. Jarren Duran (2-for-4) singled on the game's first pitched and scored on an error by the right fielder on Brett Netzer's single. Joey Curletta provided a sacrifice fly for the second run.
New Hampshire put up four runs in the second inning against Mata. Vinny Capra put the 'Cats on the board with a single and Brock Lundquist hit a three-run homer.
Despite the loss, Mata fanned seven batters over six innings on seven hits and two walks. RHP Robinson Leyer and RHP Jordan Weems each worked a scoreless innings
