Dust Devils' Bats Dominate, 12-9

Tri-City wins rubber game with six home runs.

EVERETT, Wash. - After briefly trailing the AquaSox, the Tri-City Dust Devils' bats came alive, winning the third game in the series 12-9.

EVERETT, Wash. - After briefly trailing the AquaSox, the Tri-City Dust Devils' bats came alive, winning the third game in the series 12-9.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tri-City struck quickly in the top of the first, scoring the first earned run against George Kirby since his debut. The Dust Devils didn't hold the lead for long; Robert Perez crushed a three-run homer in the bottom of the inning.
Patrick Frick and Connor Hoover drove in a run each in the bottom of the second. Frick scored on a wild pitch before the end of the inning, extending the Frogs' lead to 6-1. The Dust Devils scored five runs in the top of the fourth, tying the game. Hoover regained the lead for the AquaSox the next inning with an RBI double.
Tri-City surged past the Frogs in the sixth, scoring four runs with three back-to-back-to-back home runs. Miguel Perez hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the inning and the Frogs entered the seventh inning down 10-9.
Jordy Barley scored Tri-City's 11th run of the game off of an AquaSox throwing error in the top of the eighth inning. In the ninth, Sean Guilbe hit the Dust Devils' sixth home run of the game, giving them a 12-9 lead. The Frogs were unable to score in the bottom of the inning, falling to Tri-City.
WRAPPING IT UP
At the plate, the Frogs registered eight hits with four doubles and two home runs. On the mound, Kirby pitched three innings, allowing one earned run and striking out three batters. Deivy Florido pitched 2.2 innings while Kipp Rollings closed the game, finishing the last 3.1 innings.

Up next, the Frogs hit the road for a four-game series against the Hillsboro Hops July 29-August 1. After that, they'll return to Funko Field for a three-game series against the current Northwest League North Division leaders, the Spokane Indians.
