The Grizzlies managed a run in the fourth thanks to a Cole Stilwell RBI single and added two more runs in the sixth. However, Rancho Cucamonga mustered an insurance run in the eighth to end any Fresno comeback.
Braxton Hyde hurled two and one-third shutout frames for the Grizzlies out of the bullpen. He has not allowed a run over seven-plus innings of work this year. Connor Staine (1-1) took the loss and Darlin Pinales (1-1) enjoyed the win.
