Edman dealt his first blow in the top of the third to crack the scoreless tie against LHP

The Cardinals (25-23) then opened the advantage with a five-run outburst in the top of the sixth. Jones worked a walk to lead off, before Edman launched a two-run blast to left field for his third home run of the year and second of the week. SS
The Missions (30-18) got on the board in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI single from 2B
The Cardinals got the run right back in the top of the seventh. After Edman reached on a fielder's choice and stole second, Sosa pulled an RBI single to left-center for his third hit of the night, bringing in Edman for the 7-1 lead.
McKinney tossed a scoreless seventh, followed by a pair of shutout innings by RHP
