SeaWolves fans and partners,
Prior to this season, the SeaWolves announced that an expansion of protective netting was expected soon at UPMC Park. In partnership with Erie Events, additional protective netting was installed this week. These new triangular netting sections run from the top of the existing backstop net to the outfield end of each dugout. The new netting provides protection to fans seated behind the dugouts and those at concession areas on the first base concourse. The design is intended to offer protective viewing for more fans while maintaining access to the players before and after the game.
We expect these extra protections will make UPMC Park a safer place to watch games. We also understand that our fans have a variety of preferences. If you have tickets for any game this season and would like to be relocated to a seat beyond the protective netting, please contact our Ticket Sales team at 814-456-1300 or tickets@seawolves.com so we can assist you. Your safety and viewing experience are both important to us.
The SeaWolves open a five-game series versus the Bowie Baysox tonight. The series includes three fireworks shows (Sat, Sun & Tues) and plenty of additional fun. The July 3 fireworks show will be the LARGEST in UPMC Park history, and it will be accompanied by a live performance by members of the Erie Philharmonic. Game time each night is 7:05 PM.
Thank you for your continued support of the Erie SeaWolves. Please enjoy a safe and happy Independence Day.
