MIDLAND, Texas (August 1, 2018) - Fueled by a four-run sixth inning, the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, edged the Midland RockHounds 10-8 in Wednesday's series finale at Security Bank Ballpark.
BIG MOMENTS
* Right after Midland had pulled even in the fifth inning, the Riders broke a 5-5 tie and grabbed the lead for good with the four-run sixth inning.
* Trailing 10-8 in the ninth, the RockHounds loaded the bases with two outs but C.D. Pelham came on to garner the final out and his first save with the Riders.
* Preston Beck paced the Riders at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a double, three RBIs, three runs and a walk. Luis Yander La O also had three RBIs, including a two-run homer in a three-run first inning.
