Bridgewater, New Jersey- After a stellar debut as a Somerset Patriot, righty Glenn Otto received the first MiLB Northeast Pitcher of the Week award for the 2021 season for May 4th-9th.
In his appearance on May 8th at TD Bank Ballpark, Otto threw six scoreless innings and allowed just two hits and a walk to the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals). He also tallied six strikeouts as he earned his first win of the year.

Congrats to RHP Glenn Otto, who has been named last week's @MiLB Double-A Northeast League Pitcher of the Week!

After the game, Otto said, “It was a great team win. I had a lot of great plays in the field behind me. I trust those guys a lot to score some runs and had two great relievers come in after me and get the job done as well. All around, a great job by the Patriots tonight that made for a great Double-A debut.”
Otto was drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 draft by the New York Yankees out of Rice University in Houston, Texas. With three years of minor league experience under his belt, Otto has quietly created a name for himself in an organization with strong pitching prospects.
The righty will make his second start tonight against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays) as the Patriots look to improve to 7-3.
