(Reading, PA) - The Reading Fightin Phils, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, are excited to announce promotions within their full-time staff.

Stephen Thomas has been named the Director of Community Relations for the Fightin Phils. He will oversee Reading's work within the community and local outreach. Thomas' new title will be Director of Community Relations/Extra Events/Baseballtown Charities. He will continue to oversee all extra events at FirstEnergy Stadium that occur during the offseason and in-season. Additionally, Thomas will continue to work with Baseballtown Charities and help oversee the Baseballtown Dream League. 2024 will be Thomas' 10th season with the R-Phils.

Andrew Nelson has been promoted to Director of Client Fulfillment/Special Projects. Nelson will continue to oversee client fulfillment, working with clients to ensure their partnerships remain strong with the Fightin Phils. He will also help oversee special projects in and around FirstEnergy Stadium, including the new Redner's Event Center. Nelson previously worked in the home clubhouse at America's Classic Ballpark and oversaw clubhouse operations. The upcoming season will be Nelson's 14th with the R-Phils.

Matt Koch has been promoted to Account Executive/Internship Manager. Koch will continue to work in a variety of roles in the Fightin Phils ticket office, while also now overseeing the R-Phils internship program. He will work to interview, hire, train and staff interns and game staff for the 2024 season and beyond. More information on the R-Phils internship program can be found HERE. Koch will enter his fourth season with the Fightin Phils in 2024.

We are excited to continue to work with Thomas, Nelson and Koch in Baseballtown as their roles grow to help contribute to and grow the success of the Reading Fightin Phils in 2024 and beyond. All three began their R-Phils careers as interns as the R-Phils strong internship program has resulted in many of our current full-time staff. 21 of the 24 front office staff members started their career as an R-Phils intern.

The best way to get your start in Baseballtown is to join us for an internship or game staff position. Reading is hiring interns for the 2024 season NOW and more information can be found HERE.
