Fisher Cats End Patriots Win Streak At Five
Bridgewater, NJ – The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (11-12) defeated the Somerset Patriots (15-8) by a final score of 3–1 at TD Bank Ballpark on Wednesday night.

Tanner Morris was the first scorer of the night, crossing home on a wild pitch in the top of the first.
Derek Dietrich retaliated with a solo home run (4) in the bottom of the second, his third in his past four games.

The Fisher Cats took the lead for good in the top of the eighth as Luis De Los Santos singled home Orelvis Martinez before Spencer Horwitz stole home to put New Hampshire ahead 3-1.
Sean Boyle allowed just one run in five innings and struck out nine batters, including eight straight between the top of the third to the top of the fifth in a no decision.
Matt Minnick (2-1) suffered the loss, allowing the go-ahead run to score in the top of the eighth. Sean Mellen (1-0) earned the win after he tossed 1.1 scoreless innings and a strike out. Jake Elliot (1) recorded the save, retiring the final three batters with two strikeouts.
The 2022 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue at home on Thursday, May 5 with a 6:35 pm game against the Fisher Cats at TD Bank Ballpark.
