MANCHESTER, N.H— The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, struggled on offense for a second straight day, falling to the Portland Sea Dogs 6-1 at Delta Dental Stadium Saturday night.

Will Robertson picked up his first two hits of the series, hitting a double to right-center in the fourth and a solo home run to right-field in the sixth to score the only run of the game for New Hampshire (4-4). Robertson hit 12 home runs last year for the Fisher Cats.

Sebastian Espino also collected his first hit of the season and threw out two runners trying to stretch singles into doubles from right field. Espino threw out eight runners from right field in 2022, the most by a Fisher Cat outfielder all season.

Portland (7-1) starting right-hander CJ Liu (1-0) performed well on the mound for the Sea Dogs, striking out eight in five shutout innings of work.

Matthew Lugo drove in two more RBI with a double in the fifth, part of a four-run inning for the Sea Dogs. He now has six RBIs in the series.

Portland’s Ceddanne Rafaela collected three hits in the win, including an RBI single in the third off Fisher Cats starter Jimmy Robbins (1-1).

The Fisher Cats conclude the six-game homestand against Portland Sunday afternoon at 1:35 p.m. RHP Adam Kloffenstein (0-1, 9.00 ERA) will get the start for New Hampshire tomorrow against RHP Wyatt Olds (0-0, 10.80 ERA) for the Sea Dogs.
