FRISCO, Texas (August 27, 2024) – Former Frisco RoughRiders pitcher Brady Feigl made his MLB debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday, August 26th in their game against the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park.

Feigl came out of the bullpen in the Pirates’ 18-8 loss and worked 1.2 innings.

The lefty broke into professional baseball with the Braves organization in 2014, making it to Triple-A in 2016 before being traded. The Texas Rangers acquired Feigl and Tyrell Jenkins in exchange for Luke Jackson.

In 2017 he opened with the Down East Wood Ducks before being promoted to Frisco where he finished the season. He appeared in 27 games out of the bullpen for the RoughRiders, amassing a 1-1 record with a 5.45 ERA.

Feigl opened the 2018 season with the Riders before being promoted to Triple-A Round Rock. Prior to earning the promotion, he spun 16.1 scoreless innings across 11 games with Frisco.

The now 33-year-old spent time in the San Diego Padres organization before playing in independent baseball from 2022 until signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates this season. He was assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis where he earned a 3.83 ERA to pair with a 7-3 record.

Feigl is the eleventh former RoughRiders player to make his MLB debut in 2024 and the 208th player in franchise history, joining Wyatt Langford, Justin Slaten, Justin Foscue, Davis Wendzel, Cole Winn, Ricky Vanasco, Jack Leiter and Daniel Robert.

The RoughRiders begin a six-game road series with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City Royals) at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27th. RHP Ben Anderson (5-7, 4.01) will take the mound for Frisco against RHP Cruz Noriega (6-2, 5.34) for the Naturals.

About the RoughRiders

The Frisco RoughRiders are the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers and the 2022 Texas League champions. In 2023, the team celebrated its 20th anniversary and has consistently finished in the top five among all Double-A franchises in attendance yearly. In August 2014, the RoughRiders were purchased by an ownership group led by Chuck Greenberg. Since then, the new ownership group, together with the City of Frisco, has spearheaded numerous major franchise enhancements, investing over $8 million in a wide array of facility upgrades and improvements, including a state-of-the-art HD video board, sound system, Bull Moose Saloon, Bullpen Bar, Riders Outpost Team Store and the world's largest water feature in a sports facility, the massive Lazy River. These enhancements earned the Riders and the City of Frisco Ballpark Digest's prestigious "Best Ballpark Renovation" award for two consecutive years (2015 and 2016). More than 190 former RoughRiders players have gone on to play Major League Baseball including current Rangers Josh Jung, Evan Carter and Wyatt Langford.
