Fresno scored their winning run in the bottom of the tenth inning against two Salt Lake position players, as the Grizzlies edged the Bees 10-9 on Sunday night.
Outfielder Bo Way pitched a scoreless ninth inning, but with the automatic runner at second to start the tenth, Miles Straw singled Alex De Goti to third. After Way struck out Derek Fisher, outfielder Jared Walsh came in to pitch and Kyle Tucker bounced a single over a five man infield to drive in the winning run.
Salt Lake had built a 6-1 lead, which included a three run homer by Luis Rengifo, but Fresno scored three in the sixth to pull to within two. The Bees stretched their lead to 8-4 in the seventh on an RBI single by Alberto Triunfel and a run scoring double by Dustin Ackley, but Fresno rallied with five runs in the bottom of the seventh to take a 9-8 lead. The Bees would tie it up in the top of the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Matt Thaiss. Rojas led the Bees with two hits and two runs batted in, while Thaiss and Ackley each added two hits and one RBI.
